Abstract:In Brazil since the 1990s, the proposal of assistance focused on rehabilitation, autonomy and improvement of the quality of life of people with mental illness in society is highlighted. In 2001, Federal Law 10.2016 consolidated the psychiatric reform movement by redirecting mental health care, becoming a legal framework for Brazilian psychiatric reform.
