Erratum: Time reversal invariance violating and parity conserving effects in neutron-deuteron scattering [Phys. Rev. C84, 025501 (2011)]

Abstract: Time reversal invariance violating parity conserving (TVPC) effects are calculated for elastic proton deuteron scattering with proton energies up to 2 MeV. Distorted Wave Born Approximation is employed to estimate TVPC matrix elements, based on hadronic wave functions, obtained by solving three-body Faddeev-Merkuriev equations in configuration space with realistic potentials.

“…For example, inclusion of the isovector a 1 meson results in a term that matches the operator structure of the U [32]. Given that the mass of the a 1 (1260) is close to that of the h 1 (1170) meson, the large-N c analysis suggests that a 1 exchange should not be neglected in phenomenological applications.…”

“…As an example to set the scale for the potential sensitivity of a TRIV search in neutron transmission, we start first with a case in which a quantitative analysis is possible and has already been performed: the neutron-deuteron system. Using the results of the recent calculations of PV and TRIV effects in neutron deuteron scattering [43,44], one can calculate the parameter λ for this reaction and compare it to the case of the complex nuclei. Let us consider the ratio of the TRIV difference of total cross sections in neutron deuteron scattering given in [44] …”
