Epidemic model of COVID-19 outbreak by inducing behavioural response in population

Abstract: COVID-19 has spread around the world since December 2019, creating one of the greatest pandemics ever witnessed. According to the current reports, this is a situation when people need to be more careful and take the precaution measures more seriously, unless the condition may become even worse. Maintaining social distances and proper hygiene, staying at isolation or adopting the self-quarantine method are some of the common practices that people should use to avoid the infection. And the growing information re… Show more

“…It is important to notice here that, during the pandemic, different policies have been adapted at different territories, and moreover, the influence of an individual's behavioural response due to the information regarding proper precautions is extremely important. In this direction, in [ 6 ], a compartmental mathematical model of the SEIRS type to analyze the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic was introduced. Moreover, it is also important to emphasize that the numbers of the first wave appear to be lower than those of the second which, however, is not true as in the first wave, only symptomatic people were tested (where it was possible).…”

“…We have already done some works in fractional order dynamics [5,6,7,8,9]. Many researchers have contributed remarkably on various models of COVID-19 [14,17,20,26,27,28,29]. Fractional order modeling is a bene cial approach that has been used to study the nature of diseases because the fractional derivative is a generalization of the integer-order derivative.…”
