Environmental, social, and governance integration: the case of microfinance institutions

Abstract: Microfinance institutions (MFIs) contribute greatly to sustainable development through microlending. This paper establishes a bridge between political stakeholder theory, social responsive theory, and institutional theory as applied to the functioning of MFIs.
