Later, Yamada et al. (13) published a further ten-year follow-up study of 97 epileptics, whose clinical state on follow-up examination was as follows: 43 Yo completely controlled for at least three years, 34 Yo "improved", 16 Yo unchanged and 7 Yo worse. Compared with the five-year follow-up study of these particular cases, the number of "controlled" cases had increased from 23 Yo to 43 Yo, while those categorized as "unchanged" had decreased from 30 YO to 16 YO.
