Enhancing Multinutrients Delivery and Seed Coating with Biodegradable Based Electrospun Nanofibre

Abstract: Several macrobasidiomycete fungi have potential biological properties naturally to combat fungal diseases. F.oxysporum f.sp. lycopersici is a soilborne ascomycetous fungus, which causes disease in several vegetable crops. The present study aimed to explore the antifungal activity of VOCs produced by several macrobasidiomycete fungi against F. oxysporum f.sp. lycopersici. The VOCs emitted by macrobasidiomycete fungi were demonstrated by the inverted sealed plate assay against the target pathogen. Among the mush… Show more

“…Nanotechnology holds a promise to enable atom-by-atom manipulation that facilitates slow and regulated release of nutrients; thereby nutrient use efficiencies can be improved while ensuring environmental safety. Several approaches such as the use of nanozeolites, intercalation of urea with biochar, polymer coatings, , and encapsulation using nanofibers , were attempted and found effective in improving the nutrient use efficiencies and productivity of crops. The world’s first nanourea developed by IFFCO (Indian Farmers and Fertilizers Cooperative) was released in 2021 and widely adopted across India since then .…”
