“…The experiment was conducted in a cylindrical glass reactor (500 mL) with a sludge volume of 400 mL throughout the experiment. A Ti/SnO 2 -Sb [36][37][38][39] mesh electrode was used as the anode, with a titanium mesh as the cathode. Both the cathode plate and anode plate were of an area of 5 cm 2 , while the distance between both plates was 1 cm.…”

“…It is known [ 33 ] that SnO 2 has a high catalytic activity in oxygen transfer reactions. Despite the fact that modified tin dioxide is highly active in oxidation of aniline [ 34 ] and phenol, [ 35 ] we consider them not very promising for the target processes discussed in this work, due to the low overvoltage of oxygen evolution. In contrast to the electrooxidation of organic substances, the potentials of oxygen evolution and Cl – oxidation differ insignificantly, and taking into account the low Tafel slopes for chloride ion oxidation, there is a high probability that processes involved will prevail over oxygen evolution even in low concentrated NaCl solutions.…”

“…), which are electron donors, in order to increase the electrical conductivity of tin dioxide. [27][28][29] It is also promising to create composite coatings based on SnO 2 and noble metal oxides. [11] Such coatings have high corrosion resistance and, at the same time, do not add unwanted impurities to the solution during the synthesis of medical and veterinary drugs based on sodium hypochlorite.…”

“…A novel Ti/SnO 2 -Sb anode prepared by thermal decomposition of polymer precursors using CO 2 laser heating was fabricated by Santos et al 59 First, the Ti plate was pretreated by sand blast. In addition, the precursor solution was prepared using SnCl 2 , SbCl 3 , anhydrous CA, and EG.…”
