Enhanced chemotherapeutic toxicity of cyclodextrin templated size-tunable rhodamine 6G nanoGUMBOS

Abstract: Rhodamine 6G nanoGUMBOS were templated with cyclodextrin to develop size tunable nanodrugs with enhanced cellular uptake and selective chemotherapeutic toxicity.

“…The observed 50 nm red shift for AIEgen with bulky counterions is probably related to much larger dimeter of TPE-F5 and TPE-F12, 1.16 and 1.60 nm, respectively, in comparison to PF6 and ClO4, 0.33 and 0.35 nm, respectively, which can induce larger dye-dye distance in case of bulky counterions.
