Engineering competitive education using modern network technologies in the NRNU MEPhI

Abstract: The target model of the NRNU MEPhI provides, in particular, the transition to the use of distance learning platforms, integrated with the international educational environment and social learning networking. A special place in education network is allocated to computer tools to support the learning process. These tools include Cyber Learning Platform for Nuclear Education and Training (CLP4NET) related to the automated monitoring systems and support of the learning process. NRNU MEPhI pays particular attention… Show more

“…The number of articles from the five most popular scientific fields researching nuclear education and virtual tours in Springer Link online collection of scientific, technological and medical journals, books and reference works (N=634; the number of articles researching virtual tours in the rectangle; the number of articles researching nuclear education in the oval) Liu & Xia, 2014) and virtual laboratories and simulators for nuclear power plant specialist training (e.g. Yakovlev et al, 2015;Gatto et al, 2013). The authors stated that immersive learning could grab learners' attention, build an interactive educational relationship, develop a sense of belonging to nature and community, and activate life-long learning action.…”

“…The quality of generated knowledge in the future as well as the competitiveness of will-be specialists depend on how efficiently new projects are assessed. Previous discussions embraced competitive education using advanced network technologies at the NRNU MEPhI [1]. The current study analyses in more detail methodological aspects of evaluating highly promising R&D projects.…”
