Energy Storage Performance of Nitrogen Doped Reduced Graphene Oxide/Co-Doped Polyaniline Nanocomposites

Abstract: The design and exploration of carbon-based electrode materials have become highly signi cant for developing supercapacitor technology, which has attracted considerable attention in energy storage systems. Here, nitrogen-doped reduced graphene oxide (N-rGO) -Polyaniline (PANI) nanocomposites were synthesized by a facile two-step method in which in situ polymerization of aniline monomer was performed on hydrothermally synthesized N-rGO nanosheets in DBSA and H 2 SO 4 medium for co-doping of PANI chains. The effe… Show more

“…PANI's distinctive diffraction peaks emerged at 20.5° and 25.5°, corresponding to two separate crystal planes (020) and (200), respectively. This indicated that the PANI has a certain degree of crystallinity 30 . The possible reason is that, during the polymerization of aniline, some N atoms in the PANI molecular chain formed a structure similar to the organic ‘quaternary ammonium cation’ due to the combined action of cations generated in the protonation process and some anions in the solution, which strengthened the interaction between the molecular chains and increased the crystal orientation, thus showing a certain degree of crystallinity.…”

The pure PU profile shows only broad diffusion peaks and no sharp diffusion peaks, indicating the amorphous structure of PU.…”
