Abstract:The characteristics of the energy evolution and distribution of rock during
deformation and failure were studied based on thermal mechanical coupling
tests completed by Min Ming at his Master?s thesis in 2019. Dissipated
energy is greater than elastic energy at the crack closure stage, while
elastic energy is dominant at the linear elastic stage. At the post-peak
failure stage, elastic energy is released rapidly before 800?C and released
slowly at 1000?C. A comprehensive evaluation index to e… Show more

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
