Energy Assessment of the Pneumatic Sieve Separator for Agricultural Crops

Abstract: As a result of energy assessment of a pneumatic sieve separator for agricultural crops it was determined that the specific energy consumption of the experimental pneumatic sieve separator was 0.18 kW·year·t−1. It is lower than in case of its domestic and foreign equivalents. For instance, the specific energy consumption of the separator of preliminary grain purification called SPO-50 (Ukraine) is 0.31 kW·year·t−1, and that of the machine of preliminary grain purification called MPO-50 (Russia) is 0.38 kW·year·… Show more

“…The important issue is to ensure the uniform speed of the airflow and the pressure in the cross-section of the sorting chamber. Additional means are used to ensure a uniform airflow rate, but they usually form resistance to the airflow, which causes higher grain cleaning and sorting energy costs [6,40].…”

“…The determined values of physical features can be used to determine the optimal operating parameters of the sets of machines and devices used, among others, in cultivation (Vogel, 2002). Damage to the seed caused by the seeding mechanism also impairs its physico-mechanical properties (Bulgakov, 2018;Rybiński et al, 2014;Mykhailov et al, 2021). Seed sowing should be carried out by means of precision seeders, this conclusion may be justified with both technological and economic reasons (Varina et al, 2001;Jaques et al, 2022).…”

“…The development of mathematical models is a special aspect of experimental research in the field of engineering. Thus, in studies [13] and [14], mathematical models are constructed, and a system of second-order linear differential equations describing the dynamics of transverse displacement of the centre of mass is obtained.…”
