Energi Terbarukan dari Jerami Padi : Review Potensi dan Tantangan Bagi Indonesia

Abstract: Straw is a waste produced from the threshing and harvesting of rice. So far, rice straw has only been removed. In fact, it can be used as a potential energy source. This paper aims to examine the potential of rice straw as a renewable energy source in Indonesia. Opportunities and challenges were evaluated based on extensive and in-depth literature review. The paper discussed rice straw potential, its characteristics and benefits of using straw energy. Technology to convert rice straw into energy was al… Show more

“…Clean energy is an urgent need and significantly impacts the sustainability of the environment and human life in general. The commitment to the 2016 Paris Agreement regarding the United Nations (UN) framework agreement on climate change is proof of the urgency of every country to reduce CO2 gas emissions caused using fossil fuels [1]. Various efforts have been made, one of which is by opening access to renewable energy, including promoting the provision of photovoltaic (PV)-based electrical energy.…”

“…This confirms that potassium is immediately dissolved in wastewater. [13]shows a relationship between caloric value and ash content of biomass in a linear form with R 2 = 0.63 (sufficient indicator of the relationship). In this study straw ash content decreased by 14.4%, from initial value (without soaking) 16 (% DS) to 13.67(%DS)after soaking for 60 minutes.…”

“…Indonesia is an agricultural country with rice as the staple food. Currently, Indonesia is the largest rice producing country in the Southeast Asia Region and the third largest in the world (Haryanto et al, 2019). Based on data from the Directorate of Food Crops, Horticulture and Plantation Statistics, Indonesia's rice harvest area in 2021 will reach 10.41 million ha with a production of 54.42 million tonnes of dry unmilled grain (Direktorat STPHP, 2022).…”
