Fitur maximum power point tracking (MPPT) pada sistem pembangkit listrik tenaga surya (PLTS) merupakan suatu fungsi yang penting dalam meningkatkan efisiensi produksi listrik. Algoritma incremental conductance (InC) berfungsi mengontrol MPPT yang ditujukan untuk memaksimalkan daya keluaran panel photovoltaic (PV) dan meningkatkan efisiensi sistem PLTS. Meskipun algoritma InC termasuk sederhana dan praktis, sayangnya algoritma ini cenderung kurang mendukung kecepatan switching secara presisi, sensitif terhadap tingkat presisi pengukuran, dan kurang mampu menghilangkan osilasi daya akibat siklus switching yang ketat. Algoritma deep neural network (DNN) memiliki potensi untuk menjawab tantangan dinamika MPPT tersebut. Kemampuan pembelajaran DNN memungkinkan pengontrol lebih mengenali dinamika pergeseran nilai daya maksimum, sehingga dapat memberikan aktuasi switching yang lebih sesuai. Masukan bagi DNN merupakan duty ratio yang dihasilkan oleh algoritma InC. Algoritma DNN diimplementasikan pada tiga topologi konverter daya DC ke DC, yaitu buck, boost, dan buck-boost, untuk mengetahui kinerja MPPT pada kondisi uji standar dan kondisi lingkungan nyata. DNN terbukti mampu mengurangi efek osilasi, mempercepat waktu steady state, dan meningkatkan efisiensi. Pada uji kondisi lingkungan nyata, diperoleh hasil bahwa konverter buck secara konsisten menghasilkan daya tertinggi, yang selanjutnya diikuti oleh konverter boost dan konverter buck-boost. Dalam hal efisiensi kinerja, capaian tertinggi terjadi pada konverter buck, yakni sebesar 94,58%, dikuti konverter boost sebesar 90,79%, dan efisiensi terendah pada konverter buck-boost sebesar 79,34%.

Straw is agricultural waste that has enormous potential as an alternative energy source because of its abundant availability. However, straw has poor intrinsic properties as a fuel. Alkali metal content (especially K) is very high, causing problems in the combustion process at high temperatures. One effort to overcome this problem is by leaching to improve the quality of straw as fuel. This study aims to improve the energetic quality of rice straw through leaching. The study was conducted by soaking rice straw using tofu wastewater. Straw characteristics will be observed based on the soaking time, which is 0 (without soaking), 3.75, 7.5, 15, 30, 60, 120, and 720 minutes. The parameters measured in the study were the pH of tofu wastewater, ash content, potassium content, and calorific value of straw. The results showed that the leaching of minerals from rice straw by soaking for 720 minutes could improve the energetic properties of rice straw. Soaking rice straw can reduce its potassium content from 32% to 1.96% and increase its calorific value from 13.6 MJ/kg to 15.77 MJ/kg.

The Effect of Soil Preparation Methods on Rain Water Infiltration as The Basis of Irrigation Application for Dry Land Rice

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of land preparation methods on the soil infiltration which can be used as a basis for designing irrigation for dryland rice cultivation. The study was arranged in a completely randomized design (CRD) with three land preparation treatments, namely T0 (no tillage), T1 (hoeing), and T2 (hoeing plus loosening). Each treatment was carried out with three replication plots. Artificial rain was given with an average intensity of 4.61 mm/h for 120 min. Observations were made on the infiltration thickness and rainwater volume. Results showed that land preparation methods resulted in very significant differences in the cumulative infiltration depth and infiltration rate, where the T2 treatment caused the highest infiltration. During 120 minutes of rain, 331.83 liters of water volume was poured out and resulted in an average infiltration thickness of 7.3 cm for T0 (no tillage), 18.09 cm for T1 (hoeing), and 21,3 cm for T2 (hoeing plus loosening). The results also showed that cumulative infiltration (y) increased with rain water volume (x) that followd a logarithmic curve with an R2 value of more 94-98% for the three land preparation methods with order T2 > T1 > T0.Keywords: Rain, Tillage, Infiltration, Dry land, Rice
