“…Meanwhile, the PDI decreased from 0.36 to 0.12 from day 90 to 120, indicating more homogeneous distribution of AEL (Table ). Previous study also indicated that the particles aggregated to form small clusters first, and then come together into large agglomerates, and along with increased time, the liposomes particles might be broken down, resulting in the reduced particle size at last (Hao et al., ).…”

“…As shown in Table , there were no significant differences in terms of particle size and PDI for the AEL stored within 15 days, and the mean particle size and PDI varied, from 301.50 to 299.40 nm and from 0.34 to 0.33, respectively. At day 30, the mean particle size and PDI significantly increased ( P < 0.05), especially the PDI increasing to 0.37, which was caused by the agglomeration of the small particles (Hao et al., ). After 60 days, the mean particle size reduced significantly from 428.9 at day 60 to 157.80 nm at day 120 ( P < 0.05), probably due to the degradation of AEL.…”

“…The encapsulation efficiency (EE) of quercetin was conducted according to the method described in references [33,34]. The encapsulated and non-encapsulated portions of quercetin from the QTC suspensions were separated using a centrifugal device with centrifugation at 10,000 rpm for 30 min.…”
