Emerging Green Technologies and Environment Friendly Products for Sustainable Textiles

Abstract: Textiles production processes such as sizing, scouring, bleaching, mercerizing, dyeing, printing, and finishing are characterized by a huge consumption of water, energy, and chemicals. The toxic effluent discharge generated in these processes mainly contains by-products, residual dyes, salts, acids and alkalis, auxiliary chemicals, and other solvents.
