Emergent universe with interacting fluids and the generalized second law of thermodynamics

Abstract: We investigate the emergent universe scenario in the presence of interacting fluids. The non-linear equation of state (EoS) considered in the general theory of relativity for obtaining emergent universe is effectively a cosmological model with a composition of three fluids. In this paper we consider two models to realize viable cosmological scenarios, viz., (i) a two-fluid model with interaction of a pressureless fluid with the fluid having the non-linear EoS needed for the emergent universe, and (ii) a threef… Show more

“…The analysis has been carried out in a flat universe which is in accordance with present cosmological observations. The emergent universe scenario in the presence of interacting fluids have also been studied recently [18]. This picture have received considerable support from other approaches too.…”

“…Eq. (s) (17,18) has the same form as the corresponding ones in [17] except the fact that the matter creation rate measured by the parameter β appears in these equations explicitly. This in turn implies that although the composition of the universe remains the same as in [17], ρ 2 scales with a −3(1+A)(1−β)/2 and ρ 3 scales with a −3(1+A) (1−β) showing once again the role played by matter creation.…”

“…Attempts to avoid this singularity has been a central area of research. Emergent universe models have attracted considerable interest in this context [1]- [5]. This is a model which in the infinite past (t → −∞) is almost static and then proceeds to have an inflationary behaviour.…”

“…al. [22] investigated the emergent universe scenario in the presence of interacting (two or three) fluids having non-linear equation of state. The present work is an extension (in some sense) of the studies in references [20] and [21].…”
