Emergencies in freestanding ambulatory surgery centre

Abstract: Purpose of reviewAmbulatory surgery is increasing, more procedures as well as more complex procedures are transferred to ambulatory surgery. Patients of all ages including elderly and more fragile are nowadays scheduled for ambulatory surgery. Enhanced recovery after surgery (ERAS) protocols are now developed for further facilitating readily recovery, ambulation, and discharge.
