Embedded system for Hazardous Gas detection and Alerting

Abstract: Safety plays a major role in today's world and it is necessary that good safety systems are to be implemented in places of education and work. This work modifies the existing safety model installed in industries and this system also be used in homes and offices. The main objective of the work is designing microcontroller based toxic gas detecting and alerting system. The hazardous gases like LPG and propane were sensed and displayed each and every second in the LCD display. If these gases exceed the normal lev… Show more

“…Sensors are introduced to detect gases and improve the sensitivity and selectivity [11]. The study based on the report of International Energy Agency (IEA) explains that there is an increase of 78.1% emission of CO 2 inside the marines and due to marines [12]. The recent study has stated that 34 billion tons of CO 2 was emitted in the year 2012 alone [13].…”

“…However, flammable gas brings excellent convenience to us, but there are also great hidden dangers. When combustible gas leakage reaches the explosion limit, once there is a fire source, it will cause combustion, explosion, and other accidents, causing severe economic losses, endangering people's life safety [1]. Therefore, it has become a significant subject to study the detection method of combustible gas, the humanized alarm method, and the simple control method [2].…”
