“…Some extant studies (Luca, 2019; Moruf, 2020; Si and Wen-ming, 2012) cite embedded librarianship as one of the most important models adopted by academic libraries to deliver services to users outside of library settings. The model emerged as a new approach to enhance the use of library services and resources so as to maintain the relevance of academic libraries and librarians (Brady, 2021; Gaha et al, 2018; Gregory, 2018; Hoffman et al, 2017; Kvenild et al, 2016; Lowe et al, 2020; Raish, 2018; Wu and Mi, 2013; Clyde and Lee 2011). To a great extent, the model is an inevitable outcome of the information era in which libraries are facing a growing need to bring their services and resources close to users (Carlson and Kneale, 2011; Drewes and Hoffman, 2010; Matthew and Schroeder, 2006; Nagarkar and Murari, 2010).…”

“…Since collaboration and communication are important factors for successful implementation of embedded librarians (Drewes and Hoffman, 2010;Kvenild et al, 2016;Zanin-Yost, 2018), question 16 aims to discover the level of collaboration between librarians and teaching professionals. According to Table 7, embedded librarians have low participation in curriculum design (i.e.…”

“…Adding a picture or an introductory video or posting contact information make it more likely for students to view the librarian as a trusted research companion whom one can ask for help. 11 Cuthbertson and Falcone stress the importance of including some type of synchronous communication among the students and the instructors to create a sense of community. 12 Research that recommends adding visuals to the course, emphasizing a personal touch, and being proactive have greatly informed this study's approach to working with this cohort of online adult students.…”
