Apesar do aumento do consumo e consequ… Show more

“…Similar mass losses were reported by researchers Lee and Chandra (2018) -at the end of a 16-day storage period at 10 °C in dark room total fresh biomass loss for lettuce in Anti-Fog-PP and Non-PPP were 2.2% and 2.7% respectively. Scientists from Brazil (Lisboa et al, 2022) highlighted that the moisture loss can be defined as the general factor of fresh-cut rosemary's weight loss during storage. As the reason, different properties of packaging materials in the case of water vapour barrier were mentioned.…”

“…Stored in non-appropriate packaging, aromatic and medicinal plants can be affected by permeating gases which is why losses of main ingredients can be observed. According to Brazilian scientists (Lisboa et al, 2022), packaging materials can minimise respiration of fresh aromatic and medicinal plants. A good gas barrier dissolved in the product and/or around it, reduces the process of respiration as well as the metabolic processes during the herbs' storage.…”
