The Indo-Pacific region has emerged as a significant global focal point due to the increasing influence exerted by China and the UnitedStates. In light of the dynamic nature of the global geopolitical landscape, Malaysia and Indonesia, as two prominent Southeast Asianstates, find themselves at the nexus of this competition. China and the United States are two regional superpowers which have strategically positioned themselves in the Indo-Pacific. A systematic literature review was conducted to examine the crucial role of Indonesia and Malaysia in the context of the escalating Sino-US strategic competition in the Indo-Pacific region. By focusing on research articles, books and reports, this work explored the policy and strategic outlook, methodological approaches and methods underpinning Indo-Pacific discourse in Indonesia and Malaysia. The methodology adopted for this review was systematic by following the seven stages suggested by Petticrew and Roberts (2008). This review’s findings indicated the diverse range of theories, methodologies, practical strategies, and approaches that scholars have employed in examining the roles of Indonesia and Malaysia in the Indo-Pacific region. Consequently, this paper broadens the scope for scholars by expounding upon the strategic outlook of Indonesia and Malaysia within the Indo-Pacific discourse, along with the various methodological and theoretical frameworks and conceptual models that may inform future research endeavours. This study was however, limited to gathering input from journal articles, books, book chapters, and reports, and excluding other sources such as conference papers and op-eds. Furthermore, thescope of studies accessed was limited to data available from 2013 to September 2023.

Indonesian Valuable Objects on the Load of Sinking Ships (BMKT) have a large potential. This makes the ships buried in Indonesian territorial seas a tremendous resource. Illegal treasure hunters have targeted Indonesia's BMKT because to its great potential, causing considerable losses. Realizing this, it is vital to pay attention to Valuable Items on the Load of Sinking Ships (BMKT) and develop rules to maximize their potential. This study aims to analyze the policies governing BMKT to support investors in participating in investing in the business sector of BMKT management and creating BMKT management that is optimal and feasible for all aspects of the values contained in the BMKT itself. The approach method used to achieve this research is an approach focused on regulations or policies (statute approach) and conceptual analysis. The result showed that there is still substantial overlap between regulations controlling BMKT, making BMKT administration feasible. In spite of this, the Economic Analysis of Law is used to explain the expansion of the legal dimension through its studies. In addition, the economic value and cultural legacy of BMKTs that cannot be appointed due to the difficulties of appointment or the impossibility of relocation may be used on-site via marine tourist activities, notably diving tourism. As such, investors who wish to participate in the business sector of BMKT management may use BMKT more properly and optimally, including local and international investors.

The article is devoted to identifying the features of Indonesia’s and India’s conceptualization of the Indo-Pacific region at the present stage. In this research, the authors use a poststructuralist approach to international relations, namely critical geopolitics, since the Indo-Pacific is a concept based on the political construction of space. In addition, the authors use the elite theory as a second-level theoretical approach to identify the range of actors (institutions) shaping contemporary foreign policy discourse regarding IPR, as well as their role in promoting this concept. Based on the results of the analysis, the authors came to the following conclusions. The goal-setting of the ruling elites of India and Indonesia while using the concept of the Indo-Pacific region is similar: through it they project the perception of themselves as key regional players to create an inclusive and safe prosperity area. At the same time, the geopolitical discourse of the elites in two countries is different. While Indians perceive the IPR as a region in which they want to play a “natural” leader role, Indonesians concentrate on Wawasan Nusantara (the vision of the Indonesian archipelago as a single political, economic, social and cultural space), paying more attention to their own development. For Indonesia, the IPR concept allows ASEAN to remain central to its emerging vision for the region. At the same time, New Delhi’s understanding of the Indo-Pacific concept logically fits into its proactive foreign policy course, one of the main directions of which is the development of ties with Southeast Asian countries.
