“…Similar trends also appeared in the UV/PMS removal of BPA by UV/PMS system. 42 HA containing plenty of carboxyl and hydroxyl groups can inhibit the degradation process by quenching radicals and competing with target contaminants for ROS. 43 Nevertheless, the removal efficiency of BPS was higher than 96% in the presence of 50 mg L −1 HA, revealing that the Ca(OH) 2 /PMS system was a promising process for the decontamination of BPS in water even contained a high concentration of HA.…”

“…The past few years have witnessed the development of micro-nanotechnology, and lots of functional materials have been studied. [149][150][151][152][153][154][155][156][157][158][159][160][161][162][163] Despite advances in laser-treated gradient functional surfaces, challenges, and opportunities remain. Reported studies are limited to a very small amount of living organisms with gradient structures, such as desert beetles, peristome, cacti, spiders, and pine needles.…”

“…III region indicates fulminate-like substances related to hydroxyl and carboxyl groups in the humus structure. The range of region IV corresponds to the small molecular structure of organic matter [35]. The V region indicates to humic-like fluorescence [42,43].…”

“…When the H2PO4 − amount enhanced from 10 to 30 mmol L −1 , the HA elimination efficiencies were diminished from 86.3% to 82.4%. Although H2PO4 − can react with •OH• to form hydrogen phosphate radical (HPO4 − ) (Equation ( 17)) [35], the reaction rate is too low, which could not obviously impact the HA removal.…”
