“…IgA and IgM rheumatoid factors were found by radioimmunoassay in whole saliva of patients with primary or secondary SS, or rheumatoid arthritis alone (29). Electrophoresis of parotid saliva from patients with SS revealed the presence of either 1 or 2 additional bands in 89% of the specimens (30).
