“…+/À presence/absence of considered character (Justine 1991(Justine , 1995. Nuclear elongation and migration at least into the proximal median process is a universal phenomenon in the Digenea (Gresson and Perry 1961;Sato et al 1967;Rees 1979). The single noteworthy characteristic concerns the sequence in the migration process of nucleus and mitochondria along the spermatid body.…”

“…The authors considered these structures as an evidence for belonging to the gonial stem line. In trematode adults, the nuage-like structures, referred to as "nucleoluslike cytoplasmic bodies," were recorded in oocytes of Fasciola hepatica (Gresson 1964), Gorgoderina attenuata (Koulish 1965), Pharyngostomoides procyonis (Grant et al 1977), and Prosthodendrium ascidia (Podvyaznaya 1990). In this connection, it is interesting to note the obvious similarity in the fine organization of the germinal masses described in the present study and the young ovaries observed by Orido (1987) in developing lung flukes Paragonimus ohirai.…”

“…Numerous studies have been carried out on the spermatogenesis of flukes, for example, Gresson [3] explains the basics of the phenomenon, and there are also many other studies on the spermatogenesis of the genus Fasciola [1,2,[4][5][6][7]29]. These researches were based on observations of the spermatogenesis process and the results agree in most of the points, although differ in some aspects.…”
