“…Aminophylline (AMP, C 16 H 24 N 10 O 4 , Figure 1) is a bronchodilator compound composed of the theophylline with ethylenediamine added (ratio of 2:1) to increase bioavailability, and is given to treat respiratory diseases including asthma, panting bronchitis, and cardiogenic asthma (Gelvez et al, 2004;Shiohira, Fujii, Koizumi, Kondoh, & Watanabe, 2009). AMP is also used as an ingredient of skin cream products but can allergic reactions due to the ethylenediamine component (Wang & Wang, 2006).
