Cardiazol und CoraminAllgemeiner Teil 1. Cardiazol CH, -CHZ -CH, CH2-CH2-C 1) Cardiazol ist chemisch Pentamethylentetrazol und in I >N-N \N-N Losung, Tabletten und Ampullen im Handel. AuBerdem findet es Verwendung in verschiedenen Kombinationspraparaten, wie Cardiazol-Chinin, Cardiazol-Coffein und Cardiazol-Ephedrin. Es stellt eines der wichtigsten Kreislaufmittel dar und kann bei bedrohlichen Zustanden, wie z. B. Kollaps und Kreislaufversagen lebensrettend wirken. Wahrend es normalerweise in Dosen von etwa dreimal taglich 20 Tropfen genommen wird, konnen unbedenklich grofiere Mengen verabfolgt werden, und erst nach Gaben von einigen 10 ml und mehr konnen bei Erwachsenen Krampferscheinungen auftreten; doch arbeitet man in der arztlichen Praxis oft mit noch groDeren Mengen. Das Mittel besitzt also eine groBe therapeutische Breite. Die Arbeiten iiber Cardiazol sind erschopfend zusammengefafit in der Mono-graphieZ9) der Firma Knoll. Hierin schreibt Dister30) : ,,Man besitzt wenig Anhaltspunkte iiber das Schicksal des Cardiazols im Organismus." Ferner heiBt es in der Monographie: ,,Cardiazo1 wird bereits vom Magen aus gut resorbiert. Es verteilt sich im Korper gleichmafiig unter geringer Bevorzugung der Leber, in welcher es wahrscheinlich rasch zerstort wird. Ausgeschieden wird es im Harn nur spurenweise ; im Faeces und Ausatmungsluft iiberhaupt nicht. Seine augenfiillige Wirkung ist (relativ) kurz, wird aber von (anscheinend statischen) Veranderungen der Reaktionslage lange iiberdauert, falls es sich nicht in gewissen Fallen um Abbauverzogerungen handelt." Der Nachweis von Cardiazol erfolgt stets mit Fallungsreagenzien, wie z. B. mit einer Kupferchloriir-Natriumsulfitlosung (Cardiazol-Monographie 1. c.).
