Abstract:Die Ruptur des thorakalen Abschnittes der großen Luftwege ist eine verhältnismäßig seltene Verletzung. Als Folge einer geschlossenen Brustverletzung wurde sie zum erstenmal bei der Autopsie 1906 von BADFORD beobachtet. Auf Grund des Schrifttums haben KINSELLA und JOHNSRUD 1947 37 Fälle gesammelt. Bei keinem dieser Fälle wurde ein Versuch gemacht, die Ruptur zu versorgen. 19 der Kranken überlebten die Verletzung, alle mit sekundärer Stenose.
