“…Anastomoses pass from ganglia L V and S I to the praesacral and the caudal hypogastric nerves, and from ganglion S I as far as to the utero-vaginal plexus. The studies of Laux & Courty (1938) and Rasmussen (1946) show that anastomoses pass from the sacral trunk both to the hypogastric nerves and the utero-vaginal plexus as well as to the periarterial hypogastric plexus, which latter is connected onwards with the utero-vaginal plexus.
