“…We did not detect any in vivo immune responses (elimination of eGFP-transduced marrow cells) or in vitro CTL responses in the recipients. These findings, coupled with those of Denaro et al 7 (vide infra), suggest that eGFP is not highly immunogenic in C57BL/6 mice.…”

“…24 However, when tumor cells retrovirally transduced with GFP were injected in C57BL/6 mice, the anti-GFP immune response was not observed. 24,25 These results differ from our data, which show that GFP systemically delivered via LVs in C57BL/6 mice is immunogeneic. It is possible that GFPtransduced tumor cells are less immunogeneic than systemic in vivo LV-GFP delivery.…”

“…Using EGFP-expressing tumor models, investigators have indicated that the immune response to EGFP is much stronger in BALB/c mice (H-2 d ) 9,10 than in C57BL/6 mice (H-2 b ). 45,46 Preliminary studies in our laboratory suggest a more rapid onset of rejection of EGFP-transgenic skin among C57BL/6 congenic mice bearing the H-2 d haplotype compared with standard C57BL/6 (H-2 b ) mice. Because busulfan is one of the few agents with stem cell-depleting capacity though it lacks immune suppressive properties, it can be used with or without immunosuppressive agents to dissect conditioning requirements for a given antigen or set of antigens.…”
