Abstract: In this study, SDS is used to enhance the sulfuric acid leaching of chalcopyrite in aqueous and isopropanol media. The presence of SDS increased copper extraction into the solution in both solvents. However, it was the “isopropanol–sulfuric acid–SDS” system that proved to be particularly effective for copper recovery from chalcopyrite.
