Efficiency indicators in different dimension

Abstract: There are several variations of efficiency definitions and of course ratios concerned with efficiency. A better understanding of the notion of efficiency is critical to dissolve ambiguity about it. Many confuse efficiency with other supposedly synonymous notions such as profitability, successfulness, competitiveness, liquidity or productivity. This ambiguity originates not only in subjective reasons, but the lack of hierarchical order among certain ideas. The primary driver in our research is, to systematize e… Show more

“…To counteract the effects of urbanisation, it is necessary to maintain and develop those agricultural sectors that can provide an acceptable level of income for people living in rural areas on a relatively small area (Bittner-Kerékgyártó, 2012) Increasing the efficiency of these sectors is therefore an important aspect. Efficiency always expresses the relationship between an output and input category (Nábrádi et al 2009). Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) was used to calculate the efficiency rate of dairy.…”

“…The methods of this examination is the price-sensitivity of the income. [Nábrádi et al, 2009] Some authors examine the effects of precision plant production on the quality of the products. Neményi and Milics (2007) defined under Hungarian conditions that nutrient supply can be optimized during the practical implementation of precision crop production, thus improving the nutrient content parameters of winter wheat.…”
