“…Similarly, in a study carried out by Parathoduvil et al, which compared the effectiveness and safety of palonosetron versus ondansetron as an antiemetic agent in patients receiving cancer chemotherapy, they reported that Palonosetron was significantly more efficacious than ondansetron in controlling CINV, especially in delayed phase and overall period of emesis (Parathoduvil, Sisupalan, & Rema, 2017). In another study carried out by Kovacs et.al, it was reported that high-dose palonosetron was efficacious for the prevention of CINV in pediatric patients receiving high emetogenic chemotherapy and noninferior to ondansetron (Kovacs et al, 2014). Furthermore, similar studies on comparison of the effectiveness of palonosetron versus ondansetron were also done by Wenzell CM et al, Kovacs G et al, Mattiuzzi GN et al, and the results go hand in hand with our present study (Kovacs et al, 2016;Mattiuzzi et al, 2010;Wenzell et al, 2013).…”
