“…Radiology plays a significant role in defining important tumor features which affect prognosis and resectability, including caudate lobe invasion, extrahepatic abdominal disease, and portal vein involvement [62]. Most research points to combination therapy consisting of chemotherapy, resection, and liver transplant to provide the best prognosis, with pre-operative cisplatin and doxorubicin improving resection rates from 30% to 87% [63], and 5 year survival after transplant of 82.6% [64].…”

“…In particular, late effects of treatment, such as renal insufficiency, tissue hypoplasia, and bone deformities [12], lead to lifelong limitations in daily life and represent a high level of suffering. Survival rates have improved from 20 to 80-90 percent in recent decades [13][14][15] due to excellent research in diagnostics [16,17] and therapy [18,19]. Nevertheless, it is important to survey the HRQoL and mental health of affected persons to explore a possible gap in healthcare.…”

“…As a rare cancer with an incidence of only 1.2–1.5/1000,000 in children, hepatoblastoma (HB) is usually diagnosed in children aged under 3 years [ 1 ]. However, HB is the most common malignant tumor in hepatic cancer in children, accounting for 60% of the primary hepatic cancer in children [ 2 , 3 ]. With the continuous improvement in modern medical technology, the disease-free survival rate in low-risk children with HB can reach 80–90% [ 4 ]; however, the prognosis in high-risk pediatric patients, especially those with distant metastasis, remains poor.…”
