“…3. PRP can be used as an adjunct to hair transplantation: Androgenetic alopecia [12,[16][17][18][19][20][21][22][23] Alopecia areata [20,24] Skin rejuvenation [25][26][27][28][29][30][31] Acne scars and contour defects [32][33][34][35][36] Wound ulcers, Connective tissue disease associated ulcers [37][38][39][40] Striae distensae [41,42] Lipodermatoslerosus [43] Lichen sclerosus [44] [16] were among the first to use PRP along with hair transplantation. They demonstrated an increase in the follicular density (range = 3-52%) after 7 months of FUT, by keeping follicular grafts in PRP for 15 minutes before implantation, with saline as the control.…”

“…FRM treatment level guidelines for striae distensae and atrophic scar [24][25][26] could provide a viable, minimally invasive treatment alternative for skin conditions commonly encountered in the dermatology practice. And they developed reproducible parameters and guidelines in order to most effectively treat a variety of skin conditions using FRM device.…”

“…Although a variety of laser and light sources have been used for the treatment of striae distensae, to date no definite 'gold standard' treatment modality has been determined. [24][25][26] A study of the FRM system on 30 female patients with moderate to severe striae distensae showed optimal clinical results with minimal side effects. 25 The panel contended that FRM system could be one of the suitable options for treating striae distensae and atrophic scar and suggested proper parameters which are shown on Table 5.…”
