The right of every citizen to access cultural heritage, such as classical music, has been widely pointed out by international organizations. However, there are certain barriers that impede members of vulnerable groups from enjoying the benefits of this type of music, namely cultural elitism. Some authors have stated that the taste for classical music depends on the social class. Nevertheless, our research has found evidence that demonstrates that it is not so in nine different contexts. We present here results of Dialogic Music Gatherings (DMG), that demonstrate that everyone can enjoy classical music. Thus, the purpose of this article is to analyze the impact the DMG have had on widening participants’ access to classical music and increasing the taste towards this music from very diverse age and socioeconomic groups. To that end, a survey study was conducted among nine education centers from elementary to adult education. Data has been analyzed through the Communicative Methodology by defining the transformative and exclusionary elements in relation to the access and taste towards the classical music. Results suggest these participants have accessed classical music and increased the taste towards this music after participating in the DMGs, regardless of their social and cultural background.

Many believers experience phases of spiritual dryness in their lives coupled with feelings of exhaustion, confusion, and emotional emptiness. Even religious sisters and brothers experience such phases. But how do they cope with phases of spiritual dryness, and what resources do they use to overcome them? In a qualitative study, 30 religious brothers and sisters utilized four main categories of resources: internal reflective resources, internal spiritual resources, external personal resources, and external other resources. A primary strategy does not seem to exist for overcoming phases of spiritual dryness. In the context of this study, therefore, several resources emerged that were used in accordance with the triggers and were applied against the background of the life situation, context and attitudes, perceptions, behavioral competencies, resources, and abilities of the person concerned.

Background: Delirium is a very common sick syndrome in patients receiving mechanical ventilatory support in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU). Music therapy is a promising non-pharmacological intervention. However, its effect on the duration, incidence and severity of delirium is unknown. So we will perform a systematic review and meta-analysis to evaluate the effect of music therapy on delirium in patients receiving mechanical ventilatory support in the ICU. Methods: This systematic review was registered in the PROSPERO. We will follow the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-analysis Protocol to accomplish the systematic review protocol. Searches of PubMed, EMbase, the Cochrane library, CBM, CNKI and Wanfang databases will be conducted through computer to collect randomized controlled trials (RCTs) on the effects of music therapy on delirium in patients receiving mechanical ventilatory support in the ICU. The search time will be all from database establishment to April 2023. Two evaluators will independently screen the literature, extract information and evaluate the risk of bias of included studies, then data analysis will be performed using Stata 14.0 software. Results: The results of this systematic review and meta-analysis will be publicly available and published in a peer-reviewed journal. Conclusion: This study will provide evidence-based medical evidence for music therapy to control delirium in patients receiving mechanical ventilatory support in the ICU.
