“…Previous studies showed that BMI change during inpatient treatment was predicted by inpatient treatment duration, weight or BMI at admission, age at admission, age of onset, duration of illness, educational status, ineffectiveness and motivation to change (Collin, Power, Karatzias, Grierson, & Yellowlees, 2010;Hillen, Dempfle, Seitz, Herpertz-Dahlmann, & Bühren, 2015;Kästner et al, 2015). Predictors of changes in ED symptoms (EDI-2 and EDE-Q) were ED symptoms at admission, depression, motivation, self-efficacy, patients distress, expressed emotion, impulse regulation, social quality of life, social insecurity, education and perceived psychological control in fathers (Delinsky et al, 2010;Goddard et al, 2013;Schlegl, Quadflieg, Löwe, Cuntz, & Voderholzer, 2014;Tagay et al, 2011;Wade, Frayne, Edwards, Robertson, & Gilchrist, 2009).…”

“…However, this measure is also relatively independent of the clinical relevance of results [14]. Authors such as Long et al [15], Rø et al [16], Tagay et al [17], Zeeck et al [18] and Goddard et al [19] reported small to high effect sizes of inpatient treatment for anorexia nervosa depending on the outcome measure.…”
