“…In the study, when the attitudes of the teachers who provide distance education in the pandemic process about the advantages of distance education and the limitations of distance education are examined, it is seen that teachers find distance education partially advantageous. In the research conducted by Karabatak et al (2020), they emphasize that they have the ability and technological opportunities to use against the distance education system as if they support the results of this research and that they cause a positive change in attitudes due to accessing information when and where they are wanted. After the emergence of the Covid-19 outbreak in China, the emergency distance education process has started in many countries after it has spread all over the world and turned into a pandemic. As in many levels of education, universities have tried to continue their education with emergency distance education. In this study, the opinions of the instructors about the instructional problems brought about by the distance education process in the Covid-19 period were included In the research, the qualitative research technique was used and the obtained data were presented by tabulating with Percentage and Frequency distributions. According to the results obtained in the research, it was shown that Instructors and Students had problems in attention access and motivation in the distance education process.

The COVID-19 pandemic caused an alteration in many industries. The utilisation of distance learning opportunities has rapidly increased. This study aimed to evaluate teacher attitudes towards distance learning and demonstrate the effects of their personality traits and job satisfaction on their attitudes and the relationship among these factors. This cross-sectional study was conducted through an online questionnaire. Four hundred sixty-four teachers from several schools, different units and fields of study attended the research. The data was collected via the Introductory Information Form, Attitude Scale Towards Distance Learning (ATDL), Big Five Personality Traits Scale (BFPTs), and Job Satisfaction Scale (JSS). When the total points from the attitude scale towards distance learning are compared, there is no significant difference in gender, branch, institution, or working at the weekends, but age, educational background, having a child, and income satisfaction have a significant effect. There was no relation between any personality trait and attitude towards distance learning. Because variables such as age and income satisfaction affect the attitude towards distance learning, changeable variables emerge. It is essential to support older teachers in technology use. Making necessary alterations in teachers’ incomes should be considered an essential factor. The reasons for the fact that teachers still prefer in-person education should be investigated. Physical condition sufficiency can be related to the perception of distance education qualification, and a sufficient technological structure can contribute positively.

Student satisfaction is one of the foremost factors for e-courses to continue efficiently and achieve their goals. The present research aims to analyze the clustering tendencies of e-course students’ satisfaction with e-courses according to the variables of “gender, class, computer ownership, computer and internet literacy, duration of internet use, the connection type to the internet, and the tools utilized by the students in the learning management system” through clustering algorithms, one of the data mining techniques. The survey model was employed. A 35-item satisfaction scale devised for students taking e-courses was used for data collection. A total of 522 students taking online courses at a university participated in the study. Descriptive statistics and cluster analysis were employed to analyze and interpret the data. As a result of the analyses through K-Means cluster analysis, four different clusters were obtained. Those clusters were defined in accordance with the variables they included as follows: Cluster 1 (the group with the highest rate of computer ownership and the highest computer literacy); Cluster 2 (the group with the lowest rate of computer ownership and the lowest computer literacy); Cluster 3 (students have low computer literacy and low duration of Internet use), and Cluster 4 (the group with the highest rate of females, first graders, and those who use the Internet at “good” and “very good” levels) . According to the research results, the mean student satisfaction levels regarding e-courses were determined to be low in general. As per the clustering analysis, it was observed that the students in Cluster 1 and Cluster 4 had the highest mean values of satisfaction with e-courses and a “good” level of satisfaction compared to the other groups, while Cluster 2 had the lowest mean value. Cluster 3, on the other hand, was the one with a “medium” level of satisfaction.
