“…Trichoderma viride , one of filamentous fungus with complete cellulase system, could secrete a large amount of high-activity cellulase with rapid propagation, which had remarkable effects on degrading DF. Our previous studies had demonstrated that Trichoderma viride was of great value in modifying DF by transforming IDF into soluble dietary fiber (SDF). , However, those studies only focused on improving the yield of SDF, but neglected the release of BP during modification process. Furthermore, for elucidating the possible release mechanism from DF, IDF was used as the research objective to rule out the interferences of SDF and free polyphenols …”

“…The binding capacity of SDF for heavy metals ions was determined by ICP-MS (7700X, Agilent) according to the method of Avivar, Ferrer, Casas, and Cerda (2012) and Chen et al (2020) with some modifications. SDF (0.1 g) was added into 10 mL of a solution containing 500 μmol/L of the following model solutions: Pb(NO 3 ) 2 , CdSO 4 Á8/3H 2 O, and CuSO 4 .…”

“…All the SDF samples showed broad peaks at 15-28 , and there was a characteristic broad diffraction peak at around 22 (2θ) observed, indicating that SDFs were mainly substances of amorphous regions. DF was divided into relatively loose amorphous regions and crystalline regions, in which the ordered and dense network state is formed connected by intramolecular hydrogen bond(Chen et al, 2020;Sun et al, 2020). The characteristic diffraction peaks of the four SDFs were roughly the same, indicating that the pretreatment of O 3 , US, and O 3 -US did not alter the crystallization type of lemon SDF.…”

“…Previous study showed that soluble dietary fiber could balance dietary fiber intake and replenish the essential nutrient element of the human body, which has attracted the attention of researchers ( Sang et al, 2021 ). Compared with the insoluble dietary fiber, orange soluble dietary fiber (OSDF) presented better functional properties, such as fermentability, solubility, and water/oil holding capacity ( Chen et al, 2020 ).…”
