The possibilities for increasing the productivity and control of the pea weevil (Bruchus pisorum L.) in field pea (Pisum sativum L.) organic cultivation by the use of following bioproducts NeemAzal T/S and Pyrethrum FS-EC (insecticides), applied individually and in combination with Polyversum (growth regulator and fungicide) and Biofa (foliar fertilizer), as well as to evaluate the stability of the used mixtures were studied. Synthetic products Nurelle D and Flordimex 420 (alone and in combination) were used as a standard. The products were applied once (at budding stage) or twice (at budding and flowering stages). The results showed that forage pea productivity was influenced positively by the application of all organic products. The plants treated with the organic combinations formed an average yield of 3190.2 kg/ha, which was only 4.7% lower than that for the synthetic combination of Flordimex+Nurelle D. The highest yield was produced under application of two mixtures: Biofa+Pyrethrum and Polyversum+Pyrethrum at budding and flowering stages (22.0 and 21.8% above untreated control, respectively). These combinations were also distinguished for their most pronounced protective effect against the attack of the pea weevil and decrease in its numbers of 37.0 and 38.5%, respectively. Pyrethrum was distinguished for a lower degree of damaged seeds and a toxic effect against the pea weevil in comparison with NeemAzal. Technologically the most valuable variant, which united high stability, productivity and protection against pea weevil, was the combination of Biofa+Pyrethrum applied twice. Further investigations are indispensible to expand the range of products (bioinsectides, biofertilizers and growth regulators), which provides good insect control and high productivity in pea organic farming conditions. Potentiation of Copaíba Oil-Resin With Synthetic Insecticides to Control of Fall Armyworm

-The control of Spodoptera frugiperda (J. E. SMITH) (Lepidoptera: Noctuidae) has been carried out mainly with pyrethroids and organophosphates insecticides. The continuous and indiscriminate use of synthetic insecticides, for decades, has led to the selection of resistant populations and has caused concerns for human health and the environment. An alternative is the use of botanical insecticides, including through the mixtures with synthetic insecticides. This study aimed to investigate the toxicity of copaiba oil-resin mixtures (COR) with deltamethrin, beta-cyfluthrin, beta-cypermethrin, methomyl, triazophos and chlorpyrifos for S. frugiperda. Bioassays were performed in the laboratory using newly hatched caterpillars on a contaminated surface (filter paper). Initially, concentration-mortality curves were established for each insecticide and COR. Based on the results, experiments were conducted to verify the effect of the COR mixtures with synthetic insecticides in the proportions of 1:1 (LC 25 + LC 25 ) on larvae of S. frugiperda. Additionally, COR concentration-response curves were established by adding 1/8 of the recommended rate of each insecticide. Notably, the use of this concentration for all insecticides was previously determined in bioassays, and no significant toxicity was found for S. frugiperda caterpillars. It was found that the toxicity of COR increased substantially by adding synthetic insecticides, especially with lower mixtures with beta-cypermethrin, methomyl and triazophos.Keywords: Bioinsecticide. O uso contínuo e indiscriminados de inseticidas sintéticos, durante décadas, tem ocasionado a seleção de populações resistentes, bem como preocupações em relação à saúde humana e ao meio ambiente. Uma alternativa é o emprego de inseticidas botânicos, inclusive por meio de misturas com inseticidas sintéticos. Assim, este trabalho teve por objetivo investigar a toxicidade de misturas do óleo-resina de copaíba (ORC) com os inseticidas deltametrina, beta-ciflutrina, beta-cipermetrina, metomil, triazofós e clorpirifós para S. frugiperda. Foram realizados bioensaios em laboratório utilizando-se lagartas recém-eclodidas em superfície contaminada (papel filtro). Özet: Bu çalışmada Gamma-T-Ol, Fungatol ve Fungatol+Neem Sprey (50.0-001) ekstraktlarının biber bitkisi üzerinde Myzus persicae (Sulzer, 1776) (Hemiptera: Aphididae)'ye laboratuvar koşullarında uygulanması sonucunda yaşam çizelgeleri oluşturulmuştur. Her bir ekstrakt ve kontrol grubu için denemeler 25 tekerrürlü olacak şekilde yürütülmüştür. Denemeler 25 °C sıcaklık, % 65 nisbi nem ve 16:8 fotoperyot koşullarının sağlandığı iklim kabinlerinde sürdürülmüştür. Elde edilen veriler Euler-Lotka eşitliğinin kullanıldığı yaşam çizelgesine göre değerlendirilmiştir. Uygulama gruplarında M. persicae bireylerinin kalıtsal üreme yeteneği (rm) sırasıyla 0.34, 0.33, 0.24 ve 0.37 dişi/dişi/gün olarak hesaplanmıştır. Ergin ömrü sırasıyla 9.05, 10.88, 9.14 ve 13.08 gün olarak belirlenmiştir. Çalışma sonucunda, Fungatol+Neem Sprey (50.0-001) karışımının M. persicae'nin üreme ve gelişimi üzerine en etkili bitkisel ekstrakt olduğu belirlenmiştir. Bu bitkisel ekstrakt karışımının zararlıya karşı uygulanacak mücadele yöntemi içerisinde kullanımının, entegre zararlı yönetimi içerisinde biyolojik mücadele uygulamaları açısından, avantaj sağlayacağı düşünülmektedir. Daha sonraki çalışmalarda, bu bitkisel ekstrakt karışımının biyolojik mücadele etmenleri üzerine etkisinin araştırılması faydalı olacaktır. Experiments for each treatment, and control group were designed as at least 25 replicates and conducted in a climatic chamber set to 25°C temperature, 65% relative humidity and 16:8 (L:D) photoperiod conditions. The data obtained from experiment were evaluated according to Euler-Lotka equation. The intrinsic rates (rm) of populations exposed to these extracts were calculated as 0.34, 0.33, 0.24, and 0.37 females/female/day, respectively. Longevities of these populations were determined 9.05, 10.88, 9.14, and 13.08 days, respectively. Consequently, Fungatol+Neem Sprey (50.0-001) was found as the most effective extract on reproductively and development of M. persicae. It is thought that the use of this plant extract in controlling the pest will provide an advantage in terms of biological control applications in integrated pest management concept. Further studies to be conducted on side effects of Fungatol+Neem Sprey (50.0-001) will be beneficial.
