21st-century education is an education described by the utilization of computerized innovation in the educational experience to further develop student's critical and creative thinking skills. The integrated teaching module of STEM education is still low, this is obtained from the analysis of STEM integration in textbooks, which is 57.89. The answer for defeat these issues is to foster a coordinated sound wave and light wave e-module in STEM schooling. This study aims to reveal the validity of the integrated sound wave and light wave e-module in STEM education. This type of research is included in research and development. This study uses the ADDIE development model. The instrument in this study used a content validity sheet. Technical analysis of the data in this study using Aiken's V. In view of the outcomes of the analysis of Aiken's V obtained a value of 0.83. Product validity is interpreted as a high validity category because the score is 0.8. In view of the aftereffects of this review, it was inferred that the e-module of sound waves and light waves integrated with STEM education was in the valid category and could be used in learning in schools on aspects of material substance, visual communication display, instructional design, software usage, and STEM assessment. Researchers hope that this e-module can be a reference for technology-based learning resources to create meaningful learning to encourage the improvement of high school students critical and creative thinking skills.

The 21st century demands quality human resources and they have good performance. The goal of the 21st century is to produce people who have the ability to think critically, have strong character, and use information and communication technology. This ability can be developed in the integrated science learning process. However, the implementation of integrated science learning in schools and the integration of learning materials in integrated science books were still low. The solution to the problem was to use integrated science learning material of the excretory and respiratory system with a CTL strategy known as relating, experiencing, applying, cooperating, transferring or REACT. The purpose of this research was to determine the effect of using science learning material on the theme of the integrated excretory and respiratory system with REACT strategy to develop the academic performance of grade VIII students. The design of this research was a non-equivalent control group design with only posttest. The subject in this research was grade VIII students of SMPN 8 Padang. The instrument for collecting data consists of three parts, namely a multiple-choice written test to measure knowledge, an observation sheet to measure attitudes, and a performance assessment sheet to measure discovery skills.Research data for aspects of knowledge, attitudes, and discovery skills have a normal distribution and homogeneous variance. For this reason, a two-mean comparison test for two independent sample groups was used to determine differences in academic performance for these three aspects.The important result of this research is that the use of integrated science learning material with REACT strategy of the excretory and respiratory system theme has a significant effect on the academic performance of students in terms of knowledge, attitudes, and discovery skills

This research aims at analysing the effect of the Virtual Laboratory (VL) to improve science literacy and problemsolving skills among junior high school students. This research employed a Quasi-experiment with Nonequivalent Control Group Design. The population in this research was the seventh-grade students of junior high school in the Special Region of Yogyakarta in the academic year of 2019/2020. The sample was selected through a cluster random sampling technique and taken the control and the experimental class comprehensively from three school clusters (high, medium, and low) in each district/ city. The data analysis technique used the N-Gain analysis, prerequisite test, and hypothesis testing consisting of MANOVA and effect size. Based on the MANOVA test, it was found that there was a difference in the escalation of students' scientific literacy and problem-solving skills between the control and the experimental class. Meanwhile, based on the calculation of the effect size, it was found that the effect of the Virtual Laboratory was quite high (effect size = 0.897) on the increase in scientific literacy and high effect (effect size = 1.027) on the increase of problem-solving skills, respectively, among junior high school students.
