“…Imiquimod is usually well tolerated, and the side effects, which include local pain, erythema, pruritus, and irritation, are normally mild and limited to the site of application. 10 The advantage of imiquimod treatment for children includes the convenience of a generally well tolerated treatment that can be applied by the child’s parent or caregiver, usually painlessly, at home. Its use should be considered in children with extensive condyloma to avoid the pain and possible scarring associated with other approved treatment modalities.…”
