“…In a study conducted on 988 adolescent girls (12–18 years old), low blood zinc level was found to be a strong predictor of vitamin D deficiency (serum levels <20 ng) ( Gonoodi et al, 2019 ). In a double-blind randomized trial, eight-week of zinc supplementation increased vitamin D levels in postmenopausal women ( V á zquez-Lorente et al, 2021 ).
