AbstractVaricose veins or chronic venous insufficiency are one of the most widespread diseases in our society. Although many of the people affected have no problems, sometimes the course of disease is severe, with distinctive discomforts and the danger of a pulmonary embolism with lethal consequences. With physical measures, especially hydrotherapy and peloid therapy (water treatments and clay packs) it is possible to easily, effectively, carefully, and cheaply help the patients affected, and to avoid a dangerous course.
