Effect of Water on Flow Fluctuation in River Flow

Abstract: River water fluctuations affect the amount of inundation that occurs. The study aims to obtain a cross-section of the river channel to drain runoff water so that the runoff due to maximum rainfall does not cause puddles. The Ketupak river flow cannot drain flow during the rainy season. Besides that, there is also a lot of sediment, garbage, stems and branches that interfere with the Ketupak river flow. Therefore, it is necessary to rearrange the river channel. From the results of calculations based on rainfall… Show more

“…Overall, the flood system in rivers involves many complex and interrelated factors. Apart from that, the losses caused by flooding are quite large, both in terms of material and loss of life/death, therefore the problem of flooding needs serious attention [6]. Therefore, appropriate technology is needed to reduce the risk of flooding and protect communities and the environment from detrimental impacts.…”

“…However, this applied to barge transportation with zero forward speed. The experiment was conducted to investigate the effect of sway motion with different tow rope lengths and arrangements for a towed ship in calm water [8] [9]. The coupled dynamics of a tugtowline-towed barge based on the multipleelement model of the towline were simulated by [10].…”
