Delfrate et al, (2022), testou o protocolo em ratos expostos ao uso de bisfosfonato intravenoso, tanto na proposta preventiva (utilização antes da realização de exodontia), quanto na terapêutica (utilização em ratos com necrose estabelecida) e encontrou achados animadores. Apesar de não ter sido observada diferença na ocorrência de necrose clínica, a análise histológica apresentou redução de 50% na área de osteonecrose, aumento da vascularização, do número de osteócitos e melhora no reparo de osso alveolar nos animais tratados com o protocolo PENTO em relação ao controle.…”
