Solar photovoltaic cells are in high demand for sustainable energy generation because of their capacity to provide direct power. As a result, DC-DC converters that can enhance the output voltage and do so reliably while eliminating changes in solar panel outputs are required. Inconsistencies in sun-light availability, ambient temperature, and shadows, among many other considerations, cause the fluctuations. Compared to the typical DC-DC Boost converter, the suggested converter architecture has a higher efficiency of over 95%. In a resonant inductive coupled power transmission system for an electric vehicle, this research demonstrates partial shading of a 250-W PV solar-powered interfaced with a high-frequency resonant full-bridge inverter. The suggested system’s DC input is provided by a PV panel. The ratio of DC Input sources supplied to the high-frequency inverter is 1:3. For a fixed modulation of 0.7, the step modulated for a high-frequency inverter uses a pre-calculated switching angle. Due to a very high-frequency AC connection, the suggested system is more efficient than a traditional system of 50 Hz inverter operation and multiple-output transformer architecture. Zero Voltage Switching (ZVS) is ensured in this study, which decreases switching losses. In the MATLAB/ SIMULINK environment, the suggested approach has been validated. The research aims to investigate and illustrate the effect of partial shading with and without a bypass diode on the I (V) and P (V) properties of solar panels. Hence, the suggested approach’s performance is compared to the present method in terms of parameters, and 95 percent efficiency may be attained. When compared to shaded and unshaded situations, this paper displays greater feature modifications.

This research focuses on a photovoltaic system that powers an Electric Vehicle when moving in realistic scenarios with partial shading conditions. The main goal is to find an efficient control scheme to allow the solar generator producing the maximum amount of power achievable. The first contribution of this paper is the mathematical modelling of the photovoltaic system, its function and its features, considering the synthesis of the step-up converter and the maximum power point tracking analysis. This research looks at two intelligent control strategies to get the most power out, even with shading areas. Specifically, we show how to apply two evolutionary algorithms for this control. They are the “particle swarm optimization method” and the “grey wolf optimization method”. These algorithms were tested and evaluated when a battery storage system in an Electric Vehicle is fed through a photovoltaic system. The Simulink/Matlab tool is used to execute the simulation phases and to quantify the performances of each of these control systems. Based on our simulation tests, the best method is identified.

The growth of public awareness of the environment is directly proportional to the development of the use of electric cars. Electric cars operate by consuming electrical energy from battery storage, which must be recharged periodically at the charging station. Solar panels are one source of energy that is environmentally friendly and has the potential to be applied to charging stations. The use of solar panels causes the charging station to no longer depend on conventional electricity networks, which the majority of it still use fossil fuel power plants. Solar panels have a problem that is not optimal electrical power output so that it has the potential to affect the charging parameters of the battery charging station. Adaptive Velocity-Particle Swarm Optimization (AV-PSO) is an artificial intelligence type MPPT optimization algorithm that can solve the problem of solar panel power optimization. This study also uses the Coulomb Counting method as a battery capacity estimator. The results showed that the average sensor accuracy is more than 91% with a DC-DC SEPIC converter which has an efficiency of 69.54%. In general, the proposed charging station system has been proven capable to enhance the energy security by optimizing the output power of solar panels up to 22.30% more than using conventional systems.
