Control of brown rot and physical-chemical characteristics in 'Magnum' peaches postharvesttreated with abiotic elicitorsThe aim of this work was to evaluate physico-chemical characteristics and control of post-harvest brown rot in 'Magnum' peaches subjected to abiotic elicitors during cold storage. The treatments consisted of: control, UV-C irradiation at 254 nm, ozone, concentration of 0.03 µL L -1 , phosphate-K (40% of P 2 O 5 and 20% of K 2 O), and Acibenzolar-S-methyl (BION ® , 50% of a.i). Fruits were stored at -0.5 ° C for 30 days and were evaluated when taken from the cold chamber and after five days at 20 °C. Only the ozone treatment reduced growth of lesions caused by the fungus Monilinia fructicola, however, it caused browning on the fruit skin. The other elicitors had no effect in reducing fungal growth.
