“…The decrease in the abundance of the Clostridium cluster XIV group with Zn supplementation is in contrast with the in vivo results under thermoneutral conditions where weanling piglets fed increasing levels of ZnO (50, 150, 250, 1000 and 2500 mg zinc/kg) had decreased clostridial cluster XIVa at the ileum only at the highest ZnO level [ 66 ], and similarly, lactobacilli, bifidobacterial and enterococci were not affected.
