“…Among which calcium hydroxide has been the most common material of choice for the pulp capping, the various advantages of the CaOH are, they can be used as a gold standard material that tends to limit the zone of irm necrosis as it has the antibacterial property and promotes the healing and repair of the pulpal tissue (Pereira et al, 2017). The second most commonly used material was MTA, as this is a newer biocompatible biomaterial that has been used recently, this mainly has the advantage of better sealing ability by which it can prevent the tooth from the bacterial leakage into the pulp (Bansal et al, 2014). RMGIC was also a material of choice which was least commonly used in the treatment, they are mainly used for direct pulp capping in cases where chronic in lammation is present and lack of dentin is seen.…”

“…Pulp capping method is a feasible option for maintaining pulp vitality after carious involvement. [ 1 2 ] Habitual material like calcium hydroxide has been used for pulp capping. Nevertheless, mineral trioxide aggregate (MTA) has become a trendy option for calcium hydroxide.…”

“…Pulp capping is one of the treatments aimed to sustain pulp tissue vitality and avoid more extensive approaches dictated by extraction or endodontic treatment. 2,3 The process can be applied as a direct pulp cap with the medicament placed directly over the exposed pulp, or as an indirect pulp cap, in which a cavity liner or sealer is placed over the affected dentin. This treatment is applied to maintain pulp vitality 4 and the possibility of failure in the process is mainly caused by bacterial contamination due to the microleakage under the capping materials.…”
