Effect of lipid lowering tablet on blood lipid in hyperlipidemia model rats

Abstract: Observe the effect of lipid-lowering tablets on body weight, liver index and serum biochemical indexes of hyperlipidemia rats. The hyperlipidemia rat model was replicated successfully. Compared with the model group, high, medium and low dose lipid-lowering tablets group could significantly increase the body weight of rats with hyperlipidemia (P < 0.01, P < 0.05); High and middle dose lipid-lowering tablets group could significantly reduce the liver index of high fat rat (P < 0.01); High, medium and low dose li… Show more

“…In addition, it is an important risk factor leading to fatty liver, cardiovascular disease and atherosclerosis 2 , and becomes the first killer of human health. It has been reported that nearly 23.6 million people will die from cardiovascular diseases originating from hyperlipidemia by 2030 3 . Furthermore, the incidence of hyperlipidemia is increasing gradually, and may aggravate with aged tendency of population 4 .…”

“…The epididymal adipose tissue is a typical white adipose tissue. After the mice are killed, the white adipose tissue of epididymis is weighed and compared with the body weight to get the fat body ratio, which can be used to explain the obesity degree of mice (Kong et al., ). As shown in Table , no significant difference in fat index around the abdominal cavity is determined among the different groups.…”

“…In the diagnosis of normal hyperlipidemia, accurate findings can be obtained using TC, TG, HDL‐C, and LDL‐C (Kong et al., ). An increase in TC concentration in the serum causes cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases.…”

“…Lipid metabolism disorder (LMD) is a major health burden, which is associated with hyperlipidemia, dyslipidemia, cardiovascular, and other metabolic syndrome (MetS) [1,2]. Hyperlipidemia is a significant risk factor for cardiovascular and atherosclerotic diseases, which are characterized by higher levels of triglyceride (TG), total cholesterol (TC), and low-density-lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-C) and is accompanied by lower levels of high-density-lipoprotein cholesterol (HDL-C) [3]. With considerable changes in lifestyle, the number of patients with LMD has increased dramatically in recent years.…”
